This Privacy Policy explains what information the StockAlert app (“StockAlert”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using StockAlert you agree to the practices described here.

Stored only on your device: your portfolio holdings, trade log, realised gains and custom watchlists are stored locally on your device (and in your device’s app group for the widget). We do not upload your holdings to our servers.
We do not collect: we use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not request access to your photos, contacts, or location.
We use the information above solely to operate the app: authenticate you, deliver the alerts and notifications you sign up for, generate AI analyses you request, and provide customer support. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
We share the minimum data necessary with trusted providers that help us run the service:

Market data and news are retrieved from public/third-party sources (e.g. Yahoo Finance, Finnhub, news feeds, SEC EDGAR, public congressional trade disclosures). These are data sources; we do not send your personal information to them.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete Account; this removes your account and associated server-side data. You can also clear local data (portfolio and watchlist) from within the app without deleting your account.
Account access uses verified email and a password; authentication tokens are never written to logs, and sensitive endpoints are access-gated and rate-limited. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
StockAlert is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Our servers and providers may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the app you consent to this processing.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
